Good location, close to the train station and to restaurants.
The owner reserved a taxi for me that took me to 2 temples. It was great.

We loved everything about Hostel OE. Warm, welcoming staff who went out of their way to be helpful.
A spacious, comfortable room with whisper quiet HVAC and strong wifi.
The shared toilet and shower rooms were modern and impeccably clean.
We had their delicious Japanese breakfast sets and at JPY 2,400 for two they were outstanding value for money.
Finally, location, location, location. When you stay there you’re only steps away from two alleyways of great restaurants and bars.
This is a minor, very specific “niggle”. The earliest that they will serve breakfast is 07:00. Pilgrims walking the Shikoku 88 pilgrimage are facing a long, arduous trek to Shosan-ji (Temple 12) and it would be great if one could get breakfast at 06:00.

HOSTEL OE was a very nice stay, and we spent three nights there while exploring the area. The room was spacious, and the tatami were surprisingly very comfortable, making it a great place to relax after a day out.
The area has a few restaurants nearby, maybe not a huge selection, but enough to find good options and enjoy the local atmosphere. Having the included parking was also a big plus and made getting around very convenient.
The bathrooms were clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. Overall, a comfortable and pleasant place to stay, especially if you’re planning to spend a few days exploring the surrounding area.

Good location, clean room and pleasant staff.
Only one shower for entire hostel guests. I gave up having one the day I arrived and waited 30min next morning.
