About this apartment rental
Explore the nature and landscape of the Rhön Biosphere Reserve in the heart of Germany. Enjoy peace and relaxation in this idyllic vacation spot.
The vacation rental is located in the historic Rentei building on the castle grounds in Weißenbach. Inside, you’ll discover the unique charm of a historic landmark that still meets every modern standard.
The vacation rental accommodates up to 12 people across two floors in 5 bedrooms. With 3 bathrooms and 2 guest restrooms, there’s plenty of space for all guests. From the fully equipped kitchen-dining area, you can gather in the living room for games or conversations by the fireplace. The spacious bedrooms or the reading area offer quiet spots for reading. A fiber-optic connection provides the necessary link to the outside world, if needed.
Otherwise, it’s also a wonderful place to unwind and—in the summer—enjoy the tranquility of the night in the garden or on the terrace, or, for example, gaze at the clear starry sky from the property’s own boat dock (available starting in spring 2023). A rowboat will also be available for a short trip on the pond adjacent to the garden. In winter, weather permitting, the pond offers the opportunity to go ice skating. Afterward, you can warm up again in the private sauna.
Up to 4 cars can be parked easily right in front of the house. A lockable shed is available for e-bikes, which also has the necessary outlets so you can set out the next day with a fully charged battery to explore the beautiful Rhön region.
The vacation rental, like the rest of the farm, is sustainably heated with wood from our own forest. Starting in spring 2023, we’ll be generating green electricity on one of the roofs using a photovoltaic system.
The rent includes heating costs, electricity, and water, as well as a final cleaning. Firewood for the stove is available on the farm for tenants to take as needed.

I can’t say enough about how eclectic this property is! It was everything we hoped for. Great beds. Wonderful bathrooms. The property has so much history! Thank you Alfred for making this event special for my family!
