The Old Police House, had a very warm welcome from Lyn, she showed us to the annex (the cell) we were pleasantly surprised, very clean & just what you need, parking right outside, kitchen area, microwave, extra glasses, mugs, plates etc if you were to cook there, an induction hob, fridge, sink, dining table & chairs for two, bed, somewhere to hang your clothes, bathroom, decent size shower, tea, coffee, sugar (we asked for decaffeinated & Lyn kindly accommodated us) oat milk in the fridge, homemade brownies & petit fours on arrival, which was a very nice touch & just what we needed after a long journey. We were asked if we would like a breakfast bap all locally sourced in the morning, my husband said yes, I didn't so Lyn offered me an alternative of homemade granola, homegrown stewed apples, fresh strawberries that got my tastebuds going, apple juice, pot of decafe tea for Richard, and decafe coffee for me, to be brought to us at a time to suite us. Lynn showed us a folder she had put together for guests, which was very informative, what there was to do around in & around Cheddar, places to eat for lunch & dinner, attractions, very well put together. We were shown how the heater worked as it was getting chilly at night, a contact number if we needed her which was a comfort to know, Lyn couldn't have been more helpful, made us feel so welcome. We unpacked & had a cuppa & ate the cake, it was so nice, what a lovely touch. Breakfast was brought at 8.30am by Lyn, Richard's breakfast bap he said was really nice, quality produce, my granola was delicious, I didn't need milk on it as the apples made it moist. We came & went as we pleased, there was an outside light for when we came back.
