We arrive to the VACASA rental unit for our 7 year anniversary that we booked through booking.com and it was a complete nightmare! The whole place smelled of dog odor, there was dog poop in the unit and a grass pee pad, there was dog pee stains all throughout the unit and the carpet looked like it hasn't been cleaned in years, dust all over and bugs in the bathtub. There also was a pee (still wet) on the couch!! When we booked it never said it was dog friendly on the booking.com app or I would have never rented it due to a pet allergy. We packed up our stuff up and left to find a different place in the area to stay because of the poor conditions of the place. When I tell you it was bad it was a horrible way to start our anniversary getaway. I had to contact Vacasa because it was there rental unit and I have been going back and fourth with them for 3 days now , and are refused to refund our stay and now the local manager of the Vacasa rental unit is saying there's nothing wrong with the property due to sending someone to clean up the mess.. this is absolutely not okay to leave a property in that condition when a guest is expected to come and they knew it was our anniversary as well. I took photos and video of the place before we left for proof. Please help me get my money back from theses scam artist!

short and sweet

quiet and the price was affordable.

we could not get the gas fireplace to work. Also bulbs were burnt out in the lamp by the couch. I wish there was a place to put stuff in the bathroom on a counter instead of a pedestal sink when getting ready. No room for my hair products and makeup area. The place is cute and homey. It was quiet and loved being back in the woods. It’s very pet friendly.
