Beautiful building with a newly arrived family team with a vision of what it could be. For the price it was reasonable to good value with everyone being helpful and apologetic for the ongoing renovations. Location on the main street opposite the cathedral is great. With so many original features awaiting some love this has so much potential. I wish the new owners luck.
Understandably no food provision and no bar as its being renovated but you get 20% off at a local cafe/restaurant which more than covers it.

Staff was super friendly and professional from the get go, room was spotlessly clean and had all the basics that are needed. Some beautiful period original features!
It would have been nice to have some decaff tea and coffee in the room and there doesnt seem to be a plug by the bed or close to the bed for your phone as that is where the lamps are plugged in. However, there are plenty of other opportunities by the tv and coffee station. Decor is a bit dated but they are renovating.

Hotel was right in the centre of Rochester, ideal for visiting the cathedral & castle. When I did see them the staff were friendly and approachable and I was able to arrange leaving my car in the hotel car park until the evening after I had 'checked out' from my room in the morning.
I entered and exited the hotel at various times during the day and the staff were not always there. I found myself letting fellow guests into the hotel.
