Met Hotel

I only stayed one night for a quick mini trip during the World Cup. It was a bit far from the stadium but the area was really nice. I wish I could have stayed more time to tour the area a bit more. There is a little bar spot right next to the hotel. Personally, I am from the city so I am used to noise. However, if you are someone that needs quiet to rest, the train/rail station is right next to the hotel so you can constantly hear the trains throughout the stay. There is also a lot of bar/background noise from the bar itself and other surrounding bars. Again, I do not mind noise so it did not deserve to lose starts because of this. The one night I stayed it just so happened that the boiler broke and there was no hot water in the building. When I checked in, they made me aware of the situation and was told I could cancel because of this, if I wanted to. Since this was the same day I arrived and I knew finding a new location last minute would be difficult (and I was only staying one night), I said I would keep my room. However, a partial refund or accommodation would have been nice, since I had to shower with freezing cold water. Beside that, the room was clean and spacious, the staff was friendly, and it was a good place for the short stay that I had.

Anything you possibly might need to use they will have it ready for you or even deliver it to your room. Great customer service.

We loved our stay at this hotel! The view was amazing, and the location was very convenient, with easy access to the SkyTrain station. We especially loved the hotel’s vintage charm and the wonderful feeling of stepping back in time. It made our stay truly memorable!
