We had a wonderful stay! Our twin-bed room was clean and warm, with a great view. The beds were very comfy, and breakfast might be the best we’ve had so far in UK hotels (we had the full English breakfast and mushrooms on toast). Great location, close to the lake and bus station.
We also got some delicious and fresh welcoming cookies and appreciated having a good coffee machine in the room. The staff were all very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We were also lucky enough to receive a room upgrade, which was a lovely bonus!
I'd say the only downside was the heating system. We got a bit concerned in the evening as we thought that it was not working... We then realised that it was centrally controlled by the hotel, so we couldn’t adjust it ourselves, and the heating would sometimes turn off, making the room a little cold at night.
