Air conditioning didn't adequately cool room. Location was great, staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable (besides the temperature).

Honestly, this was one of the better resorts I've stayed at in awhile. There was a whole rooftop area, it was under renovations at the time, so, the workout room wasn't available. But, there were multiple grills up there for use and you could cook whatever you wanted.
The room itself was spotless, nothing was worn or old looking, furniture was in great shape, a really nice auto shade covered the main window, small kitchenette in there as well with well stocked plates and cutlery. A full sized fridge and freezer. The bed was clean and comfortable, the air conditioning was ice cold. The bathroom was well appointed with nice body wash. The only minor complaint was the shower was slow draining sometimes, that could probably be chalked up to the fact it is a very old building. The amount of natural light in the room was top notch.
The staff as well were so accommodating, valets we interacted with were all professional and nice, front desk was wonderful as well. We ended up getting there quite a bit earlier than planned and they were quick to get us an early check in. They knew who I was whenever I needed to call down or anything, truly top level service.
If I ever make my way back to San Diego, this is exactly where I would stay everytime.
