It was nice but needs TLC

It was nice for a quite weekend away. Good for Dogs. Food from the Bar was good.

Think some tlc in the cabins is needed. Need afew sign posts to know where anythink is. Also didn't know what was open and when.

Pleasant

We loved the little hut and hot tub.

Only issues we had were the bed was just a piece of foam for the mattress and extremely uncomfortable. Also the towels and the hut its self had long black hairs everywhere. Presuming that people to stay the lady must of had very long black hair that got everywhere. Other then that it was lovely

Superb

We absolutely loved our stay was lovely and warm when arrived, we actually didn’t stay in Shepards hut 2 as the manager Daniel upgraded us to a lodge a few days before which was really nice of him as it was for a birthday! The village was only 25 minutes away, the lodge was super cozy and we will definitely be coming back! -

Very disappointing!!

We arrived on 11/11/2022 and nobody was there to greet us at the reception. I had to contact booking.com and was provided the owners contact number. Then when calling the owner they kept putting the phone down on me and even messaged saying 'I can't talk now'. I was angry at this point and messaged saying we were staying in the hut and nobody is here to let us in. The owner then called and informed us that the key was in the door and gave us directions to the property. When we arrived the property was locked with no key, we tried to open the door and another guest answered the door. It was extremely embarrassing! I explained to him that we had been informed we were staying here and 'hut 2' was the property I had booked. Again I called the owner and he kept putting the phone down on me. I messaged to explain the situation and said I was not happy and to phone me immediately. He did phone back and told us to go to hut 4 and the keys would be in the door. We arrived and there were keys but the hut was disgusting it was nothing like the one I had booked and I am not happy paying for something that I did not book. If I seen that hut online I would not have booked it! It was very run down, the front door barely closed and was falling off the hinge, the light in the hut was broken and flickering, the tap on the sink was practically falling off and the shower flooded if you spent more than 2 minutes in there. The hut I was expecting was lovely inside and I also booked it because it had a wooden hot tub with seats, whereas the hut we were given had a blow up hot tub which when we arrived was freezing! I messaged the owner when we seen the hut that I was not happy as it was nothing like the one I booked and to request if there was another hut more like the one I had paid for, he did not respond. We reluctantly stayed in the hut as we had booked excursions and were meeting friends in Wales otherwise we would have drove home.
