Antonella was a wonderful host. She took great care to make her B&B beautiful and comfortable. Our family was there to tour our grandmother's neighboring towns of Cassano and Mormanno. We lucked out when we found Antonella's La Magara B&B to stay in for our visit. Even before we arrived she was communicating with us and met us in the square so we could follow her to the B&B. She helped us with our luggage, even though there were 11 of us! Antonella also went above and beyond for a few in our group that needed help getting around or had other needs. Her rooms were beautiful and spacious. There was a central area inside the B&B where would could all meet but our favorite spot to hang out was outside of the B&B to look at the beautiful scenery of Civita. I wish I had a picture of the table Antonella set for our breakfast. It looked like it came out of a magazine. I have celiac disease and she made something special just for me. My sister loved her coffee also and wanted to know what brand it was. We met Mark who was another guest of Antonella's while we were there. Antonella kept talking about Mark like he was a long lost friend because he had stayed there three years ago. That warmed my heart because I feel if we went back she would welcome us just the same. And as a coincidence, Mark lives in the same town my son does in the United States....what are the odds. We made a life long friend in Antonella. You can't go wrong staying at her B&B. And I haven't even mentioned how special the town of Civita was. It was one of my favorite spots in Italy and we went to Venice, Rome and Sorrento. Civita was such an small, intimate place but had 3 or 4 restaurants. Don't hesitate to stay in Civita with Antonella at La Magara!

La prima parola che mi viene in mente pensando al mio soggiorno è "accoglienza". Siamo stati accolti da subito come fossimo persone amiche e non solo ospiti. Le stanze erano belle e pulite con cura in ogni dettaglio, la biancheria profumata di bucato, il bagno in camera comodo e funzionale. I balconcini offrivano una vista sui monti eccezionale. La colazione abbondantissima e qualitativamente ineccepibile, con frutti provenienti dall' orto di famiglia e ottimi dolci appositamente preparati. Ma ciò che ha reso veramente unica la nostra colazione mattutina è stata la presenza di Antonella, la padrona di casa, che ci ha servito amabilmente, conversando con noi e dandoci info e consigli impagabili. Una donna vulcanica, comunicativa, con la vocazione dell'ospitalità. Se la domanda è "ci ritorneresti?" La risposta è senza dubbio "sì" non una ma altre cento volte. In poche altre occasioni mi sono sentito così a mio agio e naturalmente è un parere corale perché mia moglie e mia figlia la pensano allo stesso modo.

La struttura è arredata con grande cura e buon gusto, pulitissima, materassi e cuscini comodi. Noi avevamo anche un piccolo terrazzo con una bellissima vista sul paesaggio circostante e da cui poter ammirare anche una bellissima stellata. La casa, molto silenziosa, si trova nella parte alta del paese e perciò per raggiungerla è necessario percorrere a piedi un tratto in salita; però la signora che gestisce la struttura, una persona molto disponibile e simpatica, con la sua auto se necessario ti viene a prendere all’arrivo nella piazza del paese portandoti pure i bagagli. Inoltre la colazione è varia, abbondante e di qualità. Infine Civita è un paesino tenuto molto bene, è interessante da visitare ed è un’ottima base per fare escursioni nel Pollino.
Nessun aspetto negativo.
