The location is a beautiful small village in the Moors close to Guisborough that have the supermarkets, petrol stations and restaurants people need. When we arrived there was a jug of milk and a bottle of wine in the fridge the milk was a nice thought for people who might just want a cup of tea after a long drive.
The accommodation was excellent and there was some thought put into it, it didn't feel cheap or rushed but planned and well finished down to little things like two hot water bottles with more than enough coat hangers and washing up equipment. The kitchen had everything needed you could comfortably cook a full Sunday roast and not struggle, it had every utensil needed. There is a microwave, kettle, dishwasher, fridge with icebox, all cooking utensils, pots and pans and cups plates and dishes needed there was also a slow cooker and toaster in the kitchen.
We had a upstairs room that gave a beautiful view across the moor from the front and the back looked onto the side of the hill that showed the rabbits and hares playing about, the road is quiet and even though the house is next to the road you cant hear it when the windows are closed.
The bathroom was very clean and spacious I'm 6'6" and fitted easily in the shower and the bed, ample bedding and towels were provided.
A selection of books DVD's and board games were on the landing along with a full size ironing board, and it had free fast speed internet.
The curtains were excellent in blocking out any light at night, and the 2 washing machines and tumble dryers in the adjoining outbuilding was a great help.
Free onsite parking is a plus.
We met the hosts who are friendly and welcoming, we couldn't hear other guests at night at all
The cockerel waking me at 06.30 was a surprise but you are in the countryside so i shouldn't have been shocked.
