Starlight Motel

During our road trip, I saw this motel highly recommended in a travel group. I couldn’t help but wonder why such an ordinary-looking motel in a small town had such outstanding reviews. Curious, I decided to stay there. When I arrived, the room itself was nothing special—just a simple, standard motel room. What truly stood out, however, was the owner’s exceptional hospitality. Every guest was warmly welcomed with an apple, a banana, and two bottles of water. It was a small gesture, but it made us feel genuinely cared for. The building was old, yet everything was spotless. It was obvious that the property was well maintained and cleaned with great attention to detail. After spending the night there, I completely understood why this motel had earned such high ratings. It wasn’t because of luxury or fancy amenities—it was because of the sincere kindness, cleanliness, and care that made every guest feel welcome.

We enjoyed our stay! The owner is so sweet!

What was unique about the property was the staff. It's a family owned operation and they greet you with a basket of goodies when you arrive! They are very friendly and helpful and know everything that's going on in Big Pine, as far as good places to go to eat. The room was very clean and there were lots of tissue boxes and free samples for the guests to use. Parking was great, each parking spot had a number that matched the room number. I will definitely go back !!!

Nice stop over. Fair price. Nice folks. Helped with issue very fast.
