The property is dated but was fine for our purposes. We used it as a home base for visiting our daughter who’s living in Oregon temporarily. Loved walking on the beach where we saw bald eagles in the trees. Visited sights up and down the coast.

Pros:Ocean view, though foggy while we were thereAccess to the beach nearbyComfortable bedsVery CleanMost of what we needed in the kitchenCons:The check out is too early.If any hot water is used anywhere in the while a person is showering, the shower becomes icy cold. You can't wash the dishes, or have some showering in the other shower. It is hard to get out by 10:00 when the dishes have to be washed and 3 people need to shower.The kitchen is so disorganized that it wastes a lot of time searching for what you need. Also, someone needs to go through and replace things that don't work or are broken ( two cracked plastic liquid measuring cups that are unreadable and one of them had a hole in the bottom, cheap tongs that don't work, etc). Never found the hot pads, so I don't know if they have any or not.Daughter had an unfortunate experience with a seagull, so we needed to wash her clothes. Both laundry soap containers, which were clear, were empty. I had to drive to Waldport to buy laundry soap.The curtains & blinds in the bedrooms need replacing. They are either broken or ineffective (or both).There was a lovely flowering plant growing from outside through the window casing in one of the downstairs bedrooms. Amusing find, but probably not great for the house.

Great older home with fantastic views of the Pacific. The kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, dishes. There is no dishwasher but, that did not bother us. I wish there was a Kuerig type coffee maker. We only stayed two nights and it was not worth it to buy a bag of ground coffee. I could have easily taken coffee pods home with me on the plane. The beds were comfortable. A box fan would have been nice. We really enjoyed our stay and would rent again if we are ever back in Oregon.
