My experience at Windarra On High (as a solo traveller) is on par with stays at some of the most prestigious hotels in the world.
I arrived in Launceston late in the evening, so I had to rely on instructions from the team at Windarra On High to get access. I’m extremely relieved to say the check-in instructions were absolutely accurate, allowing me to settle in seamlessly.
The interiors (the common hallways, the dining room and the guest room) were absolutely stunning and spotless.

The next morning, I had the pleasure of meeting Susanna over the complimentary breakfast. She is exceptionally warm, welcoming, and clearly works tirelessly to ensure a flawless guest experience. The breakfast itself was incredibly fulfilling, with a wonderful variety of options on offer.
If you’re visiting Launceston and want to soak up the local heritage while enjoying a world-class experience, why would you stay anywhere else?

I had a wonderful stay, the building is very charming and clean, as was my room. the Bed was comfortable. I appreciated how easy check in and out was. There were a couple of small maintenance issues with my room (a wall lamp that did not work and the sliding bathroom door was off its hinges) but I mentioned them to somebody at breakfast the next day and she said she would be happy to pass the message along. I do think advertising as free parking is slightly misleading when the parking is available on street and only free on weekends and outside of working hours, but it did not impact my stay which was on the weekend.

Within walking distance to the CBD, Museums, cafes. Easy parking. Room very comfortable and clean. Breakfast great. would stay again.
