The house offers two bedrooms, each with a double bed, as well as a large shared room with six bunk beds, accommodating up to twelve people. Upon request, additional sleeping arrangements—such as mattresses or extra beds—can be provided for additional guests. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you could need. It features a dishwasher, a large refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a coffee maker, and an electric kettle. In addition to the standard stovetop, there is also a gas range, as well as a traditional wood-burning kitchen stove in the “just like Grandma’s” style. Hot and cold water are, of course, available. The living and lounge area is spacious and offers seating for up to 20 people. Three cozy sofas, large tables with chairs, and real wood floors throughout the living area create a warm atmosphere. A fireplace provides cozy warmth and ensures relaxing evenings. For entertainment, there’s a tournament-quality Leonhart foosball table and a pool table. The bathroom facilities include a toilet and a shower inside the house, as well as another toilet with a shower outside the house. In the outdoor and wellness area, guests will find a log cabin right next to the house, complete with a pool, sauna, and hot tub. A large terrace with plenty of space for seating and barbecuing invites you to linger. From here, you’ll enjoy an unobstructed view of the natural lake, which is perfect for swimming. Use of the hot tub and sauna is available for an additional fee. Additionally, Wi-Fi is available in the house. The property is located in the middle of a nature reserve, offering a unique experience of the natural surroundings. Three parking spaces are available directly at the property. Additional parking is located about 900 meters away, which is approximately a 15-minute walk. Please note that you must bring your own bed linens and towels. The property is powered solely by solar energy stored in batteries (20 kW storage capacity); this is usually sufficient to power all appliances for the entire weekend (a backup generator is available for additional power needs at an extra charge). The Klause vacation home is located in the heart of the Bavarian Forest, completely surrounded by nature, in a quiet setting free from noise and car traffic. The Dreisessel is located nearby; it is considered a landmark of the tri-border region where the Czech Republic, Germany, and Austria meet. The accommodations are perfect for hiking enthusiasts, as there are many hiking trails accessible from the property. Beautiful bike tours can also be enjoyed. Additionally, e-bikes can be rented nearby (approx. 5 km away). The nearest shopping options are also approximately 5 km away. The Klause is idyllically situated at the foot of the Dreisessel at an elevation of about 700 meters, nestled in the Bavarian Forest and right next to a small natural swimming lake. Surrounded by unspoiled nature, guests can enjoy absolute peace and quiet here, far away from street noise and traffic. The famous Dreisesselberg is about an hour and a half away on foot and, on a clear day, offers a breathtaking view all the way to the Alps. Numerous hiking trails lead directly from the house to destinations such as the Klauskupf, the Dreisesselhütte, or the Dreiländereck, while forest trails, marshes, and streams invite you to take extended hikes. Cyclists will also find fantastic routes through the national park in the surrounding area, and e-bikes can be rented in the nearby town. Shopping options, as well as cozy restaurants and cafés, are just a few kilometers away. For a change of pace, take excursions to the Neuschönau Tree Top Trail, the National Park’s wildlife enclosure, the Moldau Reservoir, or the Hauzenberg Granite Museum. In winter, the landscape around the Klause transforms into a paradise for cross-country skiing, sledding, and snowshoeing. Please note that you must bring your own bed linens and towels. The deposit is 100% of the nightly rate. Check-in is available between 3:00 PM and 10:00 PM. Check-out is between 1:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Keys will be handed over in person on site. Tourist tax: A tourist tax of 1.50 EUR per person per day will be charged separately on-site. A security deposit of 300 EUR must be paid on-site upon arrival. This will be refunded via bank transfer after the property has been cleaned. Pets are not allowed.
