The Douro River apartments might actually be selling themselves short when it comes to location. The hotel is on the Gaia side of the river, which has a clean, spacious, lively feel and is loaded with shops, market stalls, delicious restaurants, and all of the wine tasting rooms. The apartments are also just 1 block away from the south side of of the lower level of the Dom Luis I Bridge, and within 5 minutes, you can be on the Ribeira side. However, what really makes Douro Riverside most fantastic is the stunning views from the apartment. Windows of Porto across the river. No matter what time of day or night, the city is a picture-perfect display.
One word of caution, this amazing view comes with some pretty steep, narrow stairs and no elevator.... but the location and views are worth it.

Spacious apartment with beautiful views overlooking the river. 7min walk and you are on the to her side of Porto, close to all amenities.

The apartment offers a beautiful view of the river and has plenty of space. However, the staircase is very unsafe, especially when carrying luggage.

Very nice little apartment with a great river view from the kitchen and bridge view from the other side. Close to everything including a metro stop (if you don’t mind the climb). Very nice restaurant across the street and the people at the bike shop were friendly and helpful when one evening our code to the front door did not work - help was there to unlock and reset the code in less than 10 minutes.
Recommended.
