Loved the castle and found the staff to all be very helpful and friendly. The on site restaurant was convenient and well priced but found the pizzas to be lacking flavour. The room was also very dark

My stay at Catello di Baccaresca was pleasant, but unfortunately, it didn't quite justify its price tag. The hotel itself is charming, but the views were lacking unless you ventured outside the premises.
The breakfast experience was particularly disappointing. The offerings were not fresh; many of the cakes seemed to have been reused from previous days, and there was a noticeable absence of fresh fruit. Even the boiled eggs weren't up to standard, with one being rotten. The frozen Italian cornetti and individually packaged jams and butter felt out of place, especially considering the abundance of excellent local produce available in the region.
On the positive side, the coffee was good, and the service was exceptional. The staff at Catello di Baccaresca were friendly and attentive throughout our stay, which significantly enhanced our overall experience.
In conclusion, while Catello di Baccaresca has its merits, especially in terms of service, the shortcomings in breakfast quality and value for money left us underwhelmed.
