I really enjoyed my stay at Garner Hotel in Essen. The location is excellent and very central, with the train station just across the road and plenty of shops, cafés, and food options within walking distance. There’s also a great variety of restaurants and food courts nearby, offering plenty of delicious choices. Super convenient!
The staff were very friendly and helpful, including the housekeeping team. Even though some of them couldn’t speak English, they still did their best to assist us, which I really appreciated.
The only downside was the noise from outside, especially in the middle of the night. Even with the windows completely closed, I could clearly hear people shouting and making loud noises on the street, which sometimes woke me up. I think the hotel could benefit from better soundproofing.

Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Very disappointing breakfast. Reconstituted powdered eggs. No bacon.

Everything was perfect. Great location, clean, good facilities, cheap, helpful staff, plenty of space
The only thing that was not ideal is that the parking garage was a bit of a walk from the hotel. A comfortable walk normally, but not so much with heavy luggage.
