Stayed here overnight during a weeknight as a family of five, and while we went in with an open mind after reading the reviews, the experience still fell short.
Reception closes at 5pm, so we made sure to call ahead. We first rang at 3pm to advise we’d arrive around 5:30pm, then called again at 4:50pm to let them know we were only six minutes away. We arrived at 4:58pm to find the door locked, lights off, and no one in sight. After calling a random mobile number, we were told, “You said 5:30pm, so you’ll have to wait.” Not a great start.
Once someone finally arrived, check‑in was straightforward, but we were charged a $200 bond. The bond itself wasn’t the issue — the problem was that it was processed as a sale rather than a holding payment. It took a week, multiple messages, and several calls before the refund finally appeared in our account.
As for the property, the location is actually decent and close to places to eat. The hotel is definitely old, a bit seedy in spots, and the carpark feels questionable, but for the price you do get what you pay for. The room was clean and served its purpose for the night.
Would we stay again? No. The customer service and bond process alone were enough to put us off returning.
