Location very central, and room was quirky and cool. Staff attentive. I'd say a bit pricey for a lack of amenities but that seemed to be the going rate for most hotels across those days

The Velvet is pure class top to bottom. Rooms are immaculate and it situated in the gay village and super close to Manchester Piccadilly. The staff are so helpful and caring. They really looked after me. I love the Velvet hotel, I'm going to stay there again next year.

Our room was wonderful, big, plenty of room for everybody.
The staff were wonderful, very happy to give us directions and a print out of the restaurants near us. Very easy to walk to shopping and China town.
I have just one complaint… Saturday night the music was so loud it was hard to sleep. We did talk to the check in desk about the music. He did tell us it was not the hotel but the next bar to us. We do understand the Velvet hotel has no control over the music. However Sunday it was very good.

I’ve stayed in this hotel for a number of years now me & my partner love it. I booked for one night then added on as was for my partners 50th birthday the staff went above & beyond they upgraded us to the penthouse and surprised us with a ballon & cakes when entering this was a lovely touch! We will always come back to this hotel as it’s nice & chilled right on canal street. Highly recommend.
