The front desk staff members were friendly and incredibly helpful with our many questions. We don't speak Italian and so we were relieved that they all spoke English. The location of the hotel is literally steps from a vaporetto line 1 stop, although it's done a tight little alleyway that you wouldn't think leads anywhere! It's on a little square that is a short walk away from the big tourist highlights (e.g., Piazza San Marco) and plenty of restaurants nearby. From the shorline, you can also see Basilica Santa Maria della Salute. If you like to run, you can head over to Piazza San Marco and then access the waterfront and a beautiful quiet park at the east end of the island.
If there's room for improvement with this hotel, it is that sound easily carries between rooms, so when neighbours watched TV, snored, or people spoke in the hallway, it was quite audible in our room. You can also hear people in the street, if you're facing that direction. The shower stall in our bathroom was very tight. Personally, I would have removed the standalone bidet to make more room for the shower, but that's a North American centric view. That all said, we would happily stay in this hotel again.

The best part was the rooftop terrace, WOW! Absolutely gorgeous! Don’t wait, book it!
