We were under the impression that our villa would have a kitchen because there were pictures of the kitchen while selecting rooms. Turns out we chose a tier lower, which is fine, but it was not clear to us at all based on the site’s description. We brought a week’s worth of groceries that went to complete waste as we had no way of cooking them. We also never, not once, had housekeeping in the 5 days we were there. Our garbages were overflowing and we had to launder our towels ourselves. Given the geography, our floors got fairly sandy as well which we would have been happy to handle if we had a broom. More transparent communication of housekeeping frequency would have improved our experience. Overall, the property and staff were great. The shuttle drivers were key to our positive experience as we could call anytime 6am-12am to be driven around the property. The room itself had a little bit to be desired, but luckily we didn’t not spend much time in our room.

We were supposed to have a room on the beach but they put us in a room close to the tennis courts which is the farthest away from the beach. We walked in the villa to be greeted by 2 roaches scurrying across the floor. The balcony had more than 6 dirt dinner nests and had obviously not been attended to for quite some time. When it was reported to the front desk about the roaches and the dissatisfaction of the location of our room, they had nothing to say. How do you not say anything about roaches in the room? Makes you think this isn’t the first time that was heard.

To be honest we were very disappointed with our stay. It was not easy to find the office. The parking was full and worst of all we had to boil water because a water main had broken. One of the toilets over flowed…it was not a good experience. We left at 6:00am just to get out of the villa. The least they could have done was contacted us about the situation with the water situation and given us an opportunity to stay someplace else or given us our money back.

I booked a deluxe villa, king bed with an ocean view. When we got into our room there were a couple of major issues with it. I found out at the front desk of the Omni that the units are individually owned and that they only managed them. This unit was not acceptable and I asked if they could move us to another room with a king bed and ocean view like I booked. This was the first time I have ever asked for another room and my husband and I have stayed in a lot of hotels. The supervisor at the desk was very nice and gave us another room in the same building (second away from the Omni resort) and a couple floors higher with a king bed and ocean view and a bigger unit that had just been upgraded last year. It turns out it was a suite! After we got into the new room everything was wonderful and we enjoyed the beach, pool and other amenities of the Omni. All the staff at the Omni were outstanding! One note, at the Villas you may not get everything that the resort fee is suppose to provide like bottled water in the room. However, you can always grab some at the resort.

Loved the unit we stayed in. Didn’t love the confusion with the Omni on how they took care of things. You have to check in at the Omni and have access to all of their amenities but heard several times we don’t own that unit so not sure how to deal with that.
