It was a unique stay. The location was near the new Gordie Howe Bridge, which I rode across the next day. It was within walking distance of DH which I enjoyed.
I thought about how I might evacuate if a fire started beneath the staircase. Long drop to the ground. I assume there were functioning smoke alarms.

Nice bathroom and bed was comfy
Could have used a little more clarity in getting to the room but that’s minor and the proprietor was very helpful when we called

The non-contact check in was easy and allowed me to arrive whenever I wanted/was able.
The common room allowed for food storage and self serve food storage and tea/ coffee.
The stairway and some of the preserved architecture of the building was very nice.
The decor was basic and didn't provide the curated look that I was expecting for a " boutique hotel".
There seemed to be a slow drip of water dripping form a pipe above/near the bed.
There was a muffled tv or music noise heard for other rooms for most of the night until around 3 am.
The lack of staff on the site was a bit of a risk, as I was approached on the street and asked for money, so if needed some assistance it wasn't available form the hotel.
The bed was too high for me to get in comfortably.
