Great location for the Brentwood shops, Crema Coffee Roasters on Franklin. I chose this hotel for the pool, which was very pleasant. Just wished it opened more hours (didn’t open till 10am on weekends!) I’d read about the run down nature of the place but when I saw the kitchenette sink had fallen off and sunk down into the cabinet, even I was surprised. There was no daily cleaning (which seems to be a thing of the past these days) or changes of bathroom towels, even though I stayed for two nights. The cleanliness left a little to be desired. I had to collect a couple of fresh towels myself. The kitchenette had a coffee maker, which I liked. It is reasonably priced and there is free parking, which are both pluses. Overall I’d say if location and price is right go for it with low expectations. It’s not a deluxe style property!!
If the hotel management read this, I’d suggest:
1. They ask guests on check in if they want daily housekeeping (cleaning, emptying trash cans and fresh towels etc);
2. They expand pool hours. This is a big deal and big selling point. Ideal is 7am - 10pm.
3. They increase their housekeeping cleanliness standards, especially for bathrooms.
Overall I enjoyed my stay.
