AVOID FOR YOUR SAFETY - COCKROACH INFESTATION

It is a modern property, as shown in the pictures. Unfortunately, what the pictures do not show is something we can never forget about our stay here.

Where do I begin? When we first arrived at the apartment, we thought the place was amazing. Modern, lots of space, quiet, air conditioning. We arrived at around 5pm, dropped our belongings off and went out for dinner with friends. It was 10/11pm when we came back, looking forward to getting some rest when we noticed the first cockroach. I know they’re common in Bucharest so got rid of it and hoped that was it. However, we then noticed that the whole apartment was crawling with cockroaches - they were on the floor, in the shower, on the sofa, and in our clothes as we made the mistake of leaving our bags open. There must have been at least 20 cockroaches that we could see (who knows how many more are still hiding in the cracks and crevices). We couldn’t contact management of the apartment (they have still not replied to our message). It was very difficult to find a contact number for booking.com but we were finally able to get in contact with someone who provided us a refund of the remainder of our stay as we could not be here any longer. It was so bad we left the apartment at 2am to find a hotel. The apartment is not in a liveable condition and I am frustrated that we were not given a full refund as we could not even sleep the night there. I also am very concerned that neither the apartment management or booking.com have taken this property off the website. I don’t understand how this is still available to book when it is not habitable for anyone and it doesn’t make sense to me that none of the previous reviews mention this. We are lucky that we managed to find a fantastic hotel nearby and have written this review in the hope that no one else has to experience such a horrible night here.

Opinion

The apartment is interesting, but the cleanliness leaves much to be desired. When we arrived, it was 30 degrees in the apartment with the windows open. It cooled down quickly with the air conditioning, but my little boy ended up with 9 mosquito bites.

The place wasn't very clean.

Pościel i ręczniki były czyste.
