A really nice place to stay for a few days break

Nice and warm when we arrived. A lovely property, just the right size for 2 people. Everything worked well, was clean and tidy and a really good location for everywhere we wanted to go.

The only criticism was the shower was either really cold or really hot , unable to get the temperature just right.

Never again.

The location was the best attribute for us, it was a 4 minute drive to the wedding we were attending. We were also incredibly lucky we were out most of the time so didn't have to suffer how dire it was.

The cabin needs some major TLC, the sofa is small and uncomfortable, it needs a good clean and tidy and some effort to make it a bit more homely/welcoming. The shower's water is hit and miss, if you like your warm showers avoid, the only heating you'll find is a plug in heater. The tap on the sink in the toilet needs a good scrub. The washing up bowl has a whole in, the tap in the kitchen leaks. The host could do better. The TV didn't work properly, we had to hot spot it to our phones using their WiFi to make it work.

Terrible and I told host how bad it was and gave her chance to put right but again went dead on me!

Stay Away Things wrong with my stay: 1. Door was really hard to unlock and lock, of my wife was there with girls there is no way they would be able to lock the door. 2. Damp - there is a terrible problem with damp in this place, everything is damp and walls , floors are almost spongy! 3. Television not working, no cable, aerial or anything, so useless and cannot connect to wifi. 4. We were going to have a cup of team, then realised there was no kettle and only one cup! 😂 5. Spiders everywhere, I mean is the place cleaned even monthly, I know it is in the woods but it’s full of spiders and shouldn’t be. 6. The place is absolutely filthy, ignore all the above and even a 1 star should be clean, the place is growing! I’m getting bored of texting but this place was so bad, I have never ever complained about a stay in my life, this is a first and I am not a fussy person and use booking.com for all my stays away. Reading your reviews I am guessing other people are having similar issues, why are you not fixing this stuff?? Mark

Where they were situated. Quirky, compact and different. Peaceful. Had most things you wanted.

The bathroom tap didn't run properly and was only a trickle. The hot water was only warm and the shower went cold quickly. Sofa too soft and too low. No recycling bin.

Great location and very comfortable. Had a good fan essential in a heatwave.,

Sign for the site v small and hard to see. Fridge was so fierce that everything froze solid overnight even strawberries and yoghurt. Door was tricky to lock.
