Check in took a strangely long time as only one person checking in and a queue in front of us - many, many key taps later and we were in. Room was ready at 12 noon which was a bonus! All the staff at reception are very friendly and always give you a 'Hola' as you come and go!
The complex itself is spotless with a large pool and sunbeds dotted around it. Nearer the reception is a large astroturfed green with more sunbeds for uninterrupted sunshine - great if you want to get away from the pool area and get some quiet. There is also a reasonably well equipped gym that you can use, it was quiet most of the time for gym goers this is great to have whilst on holiday.
The rooms themselves are nicely proportioned - a large living area with a TV, leading onto a balcony. There is a small kitchenette with a hob and a microwave. All the utensils are there for you.
The bathroom was a good size with a waterfall shower that was also hot straight away, good water pressure and toiletries available for use.
The bedroom was a good size with a big double bed and ample wardrobe space. This was a separate room so you can close the door if you're sharing.
The room has Air conditioning in the main living area which worked very well.
The cleaning ladies are fantastic and do a great job.
Location wise you are maybe 6-7 mins walk from the Yumbo with shops, bars and restaurants all nearby.
Bonus points - an iron and ironing board in the wardrobe to use
A few things sadly could be improved
- there is a huge upsell culture at this hotel. Emails prior to arrive asking me to select my room, for a cost naturally.
- a mini bar and other treats on the table - all for a cost. Most disappointing was a sponge/washing up set which was available for purchase rather than just being able to use to clean your own dishes, not great at all.
- no kettle so you can't make a hot drink but guess what, you can use a coffee pod machine, pods of which are - you guessed it - at a cost.
- the TV in the living area is SO dated. Most hotels offer the ability to cast/stream from the TVs - it was tiny and poor.
- the bed mattress was rock hard - good for some, uncomfortable for others.
Overall a good stay, great if you're a Yumbo visitor - I'd stay here again if there was a good deal.

Location is good. Close to bars, restaurants and nightlight. Reception and cleaning staff were very friendly. Bar stuff kept you waiting and just ignored you when waiting at the book.
Since this hotel was more expensive than many. We were expecting more. We had to change rooms due to the mattress being old and could feel every spring. Even the second mattress was the same. Causing back and hip pain. AC loud so couldn’t keep it on.
This hotel costs a lot but they don’t look after the maintainer of it.

Staff were great - hats off to them! Pool area was pretty decent too.
Bedroom was very tired. Absolutely need a refurb. The noise insulation was poor. I could hear people talking and then snoring in the next room.
