Loved the golf round, it's a top end championship course that has lots of history and is really well kept. Great driving range, very cool golf shop and nice club house and bar. Enjoyed the swimming pool and sauna with my wife, as well as a wonderful dinner at Madhu's, a tasty lunch at Skwed and a wonderful buffet breakfast.
Very large hotel, quite a lot to walk between the room and the lobby, restaurant and SPA. Not a major issue, but this is not a boutique place.

It’s a beautiful hotel but they really need to review what 5 stars means these days. Rooms are nice and well appointed. Breakfast is wonderful.
Check in took forever. People literally planning their whole trip with reception (not concierge) whilst others are waiting to check in. We waited 20 minutes. The outdoor pool was like an actual zoo. I get it’s school hols and we are parents ourselves ( we were childless on this occasion) but it’s not very relaxing, it’s very untidy and definitely not like a 5 star hotel beach club. We came for a birthday treat and for almost £600 for a night, felt pretty underwhelmed. Having stayed at similar level properties in London, it’s totally not worth it.
