The location was beautiful and the lodge was nice and spacious. We enjoyed the pool/spa and dinner in the bar was delicious. In general, we had a lovely time and would recommend this place.
Breakfast was very disappointing unless you liked a fried breakfast (which was good). There was limit alternatives and what was there was not refilled regularly. We had to ask for bread and fruit bowls were empty. The staff were lovely but were busy making coffees etc. Maybe a toaster and coffee machine would free them up a bit. I would say you get a better breakfast at a Premier Inn (for example).
The room had dog hair all over the floor from previous guests. There was a vacuum cleaner, so not a massive issue.

Setting was stunning. Think lodges need a bit of an upgrade .. carpeted stained and headboards in mist rooms were ripped and worn . Bulbs out in some bathrooms
That they only had a minimum of 6 plates, glasses and 3 dishwashing tablets ( we had to go to reception to ask for more. Vacuum hose wasn’t attached so didn’t work properly
