The property is absolutely beautiful and well located. The rooms are large and comfortable. The bathrooms are spacious and have great showers. The restaurant serves delicious meals. The breakfast was great, with lots of options.
The property is a maze! The signs are confusing and often not clearly visible and the numeration of the rooms is confusing. I wanted to contact the front desk and there were no signs with the number anywhere! I had to go all the way to the front desk to get information. It isn’t very accessible for people with mobility issues and my parents had a difficult time finding their way around the buildings. Also, once the restaurant is closed, you can’t even get a cup of coffee on the premises.

breakfast was fantastic with a great selection on offer . the room with unbelievable being inside the castle walls and was very in keeping with the historic surroundings.
the hotel restaurant was closed on the Sunday we arrived so we had to go out and try and find other eating places which wasn't easy as very little seem to offer food in the early evening. parking could have been an issue if we had arrived in a car as the car park was a public car park outside the hotel which was very busy but luckily we were on motorcycles so we managed to find a spaces.

Location was great! Loved the atmosphere of the hotel. It is truly beautiful and full of character. It was perfectly located at the city wall with a parking garage nearby and the escalator next to it.
The air conditioner in our room was in poor condition and was unable to cool the room very well. We didn’t sleep well because the room was so warm at night.
