Room 101-Ground floor room would not be my choice - not available on website re choosing room - as a future lone traveller
Room was very clean, and the mattress and pillow were memory foam so very comfy
In the future- Choice of room re lone traveller not on ground floor

It would and will be a great location, especially in the off season when the Rambla is not crazy crowded. It’s close to the port, right by the Gothic Quarter and an easy walk to Eixample and many of the sites and good restaurants.
Unfortunately the Rambla is undergoing construction until about February of 2027. The hotel is right in the middle of the construction zone making it difficult to get to and from the building with luggage. The front desk staff were not so much rude as just not present. Our “good mornings” were met with silence. Coming from Mexico, this lack of friendliness and attentiveness was rather startling. When we checked in, the man behind the desk attempted to charge us for the room that we had already paid for, telling us that our card had been used to hold the room, but no payment had been made. Fortunately, I had brought the receipts.

It was near the port and on La Rambla
There were a lot of building works going on outside the hotel so if could be quite noisy

Hotel was clean
The room was practically windowless. The keys worked more often than not.
