Generally a warm, comfortable stay
Bath was unusable due to the poor water pressure, loose hot tap fitting, room 216. Shower was the silly overhead version.
Food in the restaurant had odd portions.. eg duck leg, on a huge portion of fries, but no vegetables of any sort.

Location and historical context
The evening meals were very disappointing. We ended up eating elsewhere. Small things detracted from the stay and were irritating. E.g reported that toilet seat needed repair but it was never done, ridiculous sized cheap napkins at meal times, 1 knife at breakfast so had to butter toast with egg already on it. After cleaning sometimes the room had 2 milks, sometimes 4 - sometimes no water -totally random. It isnt even close to 4 star and the penny pinching approach ruins the experience.
