The location was great - near tube and bus services - very convenient for South Bank and easy to get to West End.
The room was fine - warm and comfy - table and chairs for snacks - kitchen right next door was well equipped and clean. Clothes rail was useful. No other storage. Not luxury, but served it's purpose for a short stay. Shared (but 2 separate rooms) shower and toilet for 4 rooms, which occasionally meant a wait, but all very clean with towels and toiletries provided. First rate communication with the host, though no staff onsite, but it was easy to access the room with instructions provided. Wifi worked well. Arrangements for dropping off bags prior to official check-in and leaving for the day after check-out to further explore the city was helpful. Plenty of shops and pubs very nearby. Seemed a bit expensive for what it was, but this is London, and the plus factors outweighed the negatives.
The area was a little run down with building work nearby, so some noise from that. Externally the block of maisonettes wasn't too appealing, and 2 flights of stairs to access the front door might have been hard work if we'd had lots of luggage. No TV anywhere - which didn't bother us as we were out a lot. Kitchen was small, so got close up with fellow guests when some of us were doing breakfast at the same time.
