The apartment is large, very clean, has a washing machine and a large terrace. The only thing that could have improved it would be proper curtains or blinds in the bedrooms as they were bright, but the windows are huge so that's maybe not possible. The host Rufat was great and even arranged for return of a teddy bear we had left behind - so kind of him. We didn't read the welcome instructions properly and didn't realise he takes payment in cash on arrival - he was very good about me keeping him waiting, then having to go to the nearby supermarket ATM.
The apartment itself was excellent, so none of this is a criticism of the accommodation. As a Scots/Irish family living in Dubai, we had expected a more typical beach-resort and experienced some "culture shock" :-) Sea Breeze feels pretty aimed towards Russian tourists and much of the development shown on online maps, including the crescent-shaped island and tower, has not actually been built yet. We were told that playing cards was not permitted in a nearby restaurant ("Bosfor" - food was lovely). The small local beach club/water park was expensive, while the larger water park we had hoped to spend some days at was closed during our visit because of a recent unfortunate fatal accident. The area can be very windy (I know, the clue is in the name), and on those days we visited Baku, which is an amazing city - just watch out for being overcharged - use a taxi app if possible.

We had the most wonderful stay at Lighthouse, Rufat was a great host allowing for a late check-in and late check-out. I don’t think we would want to stay anywhere else at Sea Breeze, this really is a fantastic apartment in a fantastic location.
The apartment is right at the heart of the main Sea Breeze resort, just a walk from all the main cafes, restaurants and bars. It takes 2 minutes to walk to the beach and the host included wrist bands that gives access to the beach for residents and beach towels are provided.
The apartment itself is spacious, clean and modern. There are two double bedrooms and the lounge, kitchen, diner has all the amenities you could need – fridge, freezer, oven, cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster. There are TVs in the lounge and the bedrooms, the host provided wifi access and the air conditioning worked well and was very easy to use. Everything was clean and made up, ready for our arrival, plenty of towels, pillows and sheets etc. and there is a very convenient rubbish disposal so we could keep the apartment clean as we went along.
The best part of our stay was the amazing terrace – it really is as big as the photos show and the views are super looking straight over to the Caspian Sea🩷. We spent all our time on the beach or on the terrace. Great for an early morning coffee or a late-night drink, or a midday siesta on the loungers (all the terrace furniture is sturdy and very comfortable) By the way, both bedrooms have doors that lead straight to the terrace. It was the perfect weekend get-away to the coast and we would love to go there again.
Thank you Rufat for letting us stay in your lovely apartment 😊
