Honestly blown away with how great this hotel was!
To be honest, at the price point, and knowing the area is tourist central (and many of the hotels in the area seem hit or miss) I wasn’t expecting the best. Parea Athens well exceeded my expectations. The room we had, which was small with two twin beds, came well equipped, with a recently renovated bathroom, refrigerator, closet space and enough space for two travelers for the two nights we stayed. If we were staying any longer, I probably would have opted for another room or stayed somewhere else, but this room was perfect for our short stay. Everything was very clean and well maintained.
Shout out to George at the front desk… he was kind and helpful upon check-in and was warm and genuine when we would arrive back at the hotel each afternoon.
Overall, the property is very small, but has a great rooftop with couches for casual relaxing, an elevator, and a water machine in the lobby to refill your water bottle. The location is the best part: steps from great shopping, a pharmacy, and lots of restaurants right outside the front door. I felt safe on the street where the hotel was located.
When returning to Athens, I will definitely consider staying at Parea Athens again !
