This property was extremely clean and in a great area of Lucca. The host was extremely helpful and responsive anytime we needed assistance. Highly recommended staying here.
Just be aware that this apartment is up about 3 stories of stairs so traveling with heavy baggage is a bit challenging.

The apartment is spacious, well-lit, and tastefully decorated. It is equipped with everything you could possibly need, including thoughtful touches like coffee machine capsules, tea, and water. The host was exceptionally friendly and provided us with a map highlighting Lucca's must-visit places. Overall, it was one of our most enjoyable stays!

The location was perfect - just inside the walls right next an entrance where you could pass the city walls by foot. The apartment was beautiful and was the top apartment so you didn't have any noise from upstairs neighbors, and the views were beautiful.
When I tried to shower the first evening (Thursday), I had hot water for less than a minute. I went in as soon as it got warm and I hadn't even put soap on my whole body before it went ice cold and there was nothing to do. Luckily, there were two bathrooms, so I tried the other one, but also there I had water for less than two minutes. Instead of acting on it immediately the next day, the host told us to tell him if it happened again. It did, but the delay had the consequence that a plumber couldn't look at it until Monday, so for 4 days we weren't able to properly shower and we had to be creative and bring bottles with hot water and plastic bags with hot water that I could poke holes in so I could actually wash my hair. It was a huge inconvenience, and when they finally looked at it Monday where they came by twice, they just changed the shower heads. How has that ever helped with that issue? We managed the rest of the stay with all the tricks we've learned. We didn't want to insist more on having it fixed because that would just disrupt our visit even more with visits from plumbers and host. This apartment is not cheap, and we were offered NO KIND OF COMPENSATION for this. Not being able to take a hot shower every day has a huge impact on your day and your experience and I'm honestly mortified that we haven't been offered a compensation. I'd never run a business in that way myself. Super disappointing.
Also, there was no elevator so you have to prepare to walk many stairs with suitcases and groceries. The only reason I have to give 5 stars anyway is that the apartment is really beautiful and in a great location.
