We spent five nights staying at the property with our dog. We had a great time! The staff were great, food was excellent and it was a nice location for local walks. We also charged our car using the EV charger on site, which was great. Great value overall!

We were so lucky to have amazing weather on the weekend of our stay here. We were able to make use of the lovely sunny beer garden for most of the afternoon and even ate our breakfast on the patio in the morning. We wanted somewhere dog friendly with walks from the door and this place fit the bill nicely. Our cocker spaniel was very happy exploring the scenic riverside walks a few mins away, as were we. The check in was efficient and we found all staff to be very friendly and helpful. Our courtyard room was comfortable and cosy and the beer garden was beautifully lit at night and v.atmospheric. We enjoyed our evening meal and dined in the designated dog friendly area inside and the breakfast service was also good. We live about an hour away along the Essex coast but never think to travel to this part....until now. Would happily return.
