I wanted to be close to the train station. I wanted the convenience to access the trains for day trips in and out of Naples. This lodging is within a 5 Minute walk and very easy to find. There is one door on the street that looks very similar just before it, but just look at the address. It is a fun entrance and the interior as you make your way to the 4th floor and the apartment puts you into the feel of Naples right away.
Many other tourists stay in the area so plenty of restaurants for breakfast or dinner, but if you want real authentic food you need to walk around the corner and go down a side street. There is a big shopping mall so throughout the day and into the evening plenty of people about. Naples has a lot of trash and pollution and being near a train station you will see that. So, great location if you want easy access to trains. But if you want to be closer to the sites and better night life you will need to get a taxi and go closer to the water front.
The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of fruit, cereal yogurt and other breakfast items.
The room had good locks on the door, the bed was big and comfortable, the shower had good pressure and more than enough hot water.
The room Was clean when I arrived and spacious although worn and scuffed.
First, there is a safety issue. Each room has one step up to it. Each step has a strip
Of reflective material but if you are leaving in the morning it is pitch dark in the hallway till you walk across to turn on the kitchen light. I forgot about the step, And fell because of this. I WhatsApped The owner because I felt this should be addressed (not my fall since I was only shaken by it, but the safety issue for the next guest) but never heard back. There should be a hallway light.
I was given a code for the front entrance of the “apartment” but after the first day it was never locked so anyone could just walk in to the reception and kitchen area. I WhatsApped
About this and answer was it is kept unlocked.
So I was glad my room Had a good lock.
I got two very small packets of body/hair soap which was not enough for the three days/three showers. In fact lasted only 1.5 showers. There was no hand soap at the sink and I was told to buy it if I needed to wash up at the sink. So I did. The instructions in the room included that my room would be cleaned but it never happened. So bring your own soap and shampoo.
I am not sure what the reception counter is for as there were never any employees about.
It surprised Me they did not take my passport info as it is required by Italy law.

Location and value for money
Accommodation is on 4th floor, there is a lift but if that is not working it can make it a bit difficult

Close to trains and buses, quiet and peaceful
Some people might like very hard mattress but not for us.
