Unpleasant experience

The property is very close to different restaurants, grocery stores, and coffee shops. The facility was clean, the kitchen set up and utensils were very useful. The apartment was spacious, and I really liked the laundry service they offered.

I booked this property for about 20 nights. The traffic noise is not something they can control but the description says “light traffic” that’s very untrue. Lima traffic is heavy and noisy from the early hours of the morning, a lot of honking and general commotion. This was a vacation stay for just myself. The dates of my original stay was 8/28-9/18. Given than I extended my stay in Lima I decided to book an additional extended stay from 9/18-10/01. The last week in the original room I was in there was LOUD construction going on from the early hours of the morning to later in the evening. It was jackhammers and banging that shook the apartment. When I complained 2 days into the noise, the booking.com host they told me “Sorry we didn’t know until today that this was happening” and they gave me the schedule of the hours that the work would be performed. I figured in only in this room for another week, it ruined my stay and made me extremely uncomfortable and frustrated. I had to leave the room for hours at a time because I couldn’t take the constant loud noises. As previously stated I extended my stay, before I booked the longer stay I had asked the property directly if they could give me a discount given that I would be staying 34 days in total. They said yes and accommodated me, however the difference between booking directly with them and booking.com was about $100. Of course I declined their offer and just booked through the 3rd party website, this made me consider the property wasn’t being honest. I had originally asked if I could stay in the same room until I was able to move into the new apartment (across the hall) and they said it wasn’t a problem. Except once I declined to book directly with them they weren’t as accommodating, check out is 11am and check in is 3pm how was I supposed to leave my luggage and find somewhere to go for the span of time of 4 hours? It was a huge inconvenience.

I would recommend this place

Location is excellent, close to great restaurants. Great spot to be in Lima.

Just the noise but that’s all good because we were pre-warned

God stay overall, however expected a much better apartment, needs some improvements

When I arrived the reception people were not aware of my arrival and had to call owner. I then received the control to garage and still no one knew where to direct me. I finally received the instructions, and all went well. The apartment is adequate and clean just needs better towels, better bed, better bathroom toilet paper (also not enough) better soap. The TV worked well and the rest of the apartment is well but old.

I called the apartment owner/manager but did not answer my calls. Receptionist not aware of arrival to hand over garage keys and he was not willing until I showed I had reservation and he also called the owner?

First day was horrible

No hot water for shower. Could not contact the owner when arrived. Booking.com kept sending me messages with no-reply. Could not contact them for initial issues, Could not get the WiFi password till late in the evening. There was no instruction on how to use TV, cooking range, washing machine etc.

Lindo espacio
