About this house rental
Dear Vacationers,
We would be delighted to welcome you to our vacation rental with direct access to the Weener harbor basin. The apartment (upper floor) is fully equipped with everything you need and offers direct views of the water from several rooms. The garden features a variety of outdoor furniture and seating options, including a beach chair.
There’s plenty to discover in Weener and the surrounding area—Leer, Papenburg, Winschoten (NL), and Groningen (NL) are great for shopping and strolling… the fishing village of Ditzum, an idyllic gem on the Dollart, is a must-see for all seafood lovers, and so on and so forth 😊….we’re happy to help with tips for day trips and tours. Come visit us and enjoy the peace and quiet, the boats, and the tranquil harbor atmosphere!

Our vacation rentals are located in a charming and generally quiet setting. What one person might not even notice could be a cause for complaint for another… we want you to have a wonderful vacation with us, so here’s some information in advance that might be relevant to you.
The property borders directly on the harbor basin; there is no barrier (fence, hedge, etc.) separating it from the water, so small children must always be supervised when outdoors.
The second bedroom in the upstairs apartment is accessed via a so-called “space-saving staircase” (narrower alternating steps, slightly steeper) (see photos). For older guests, climbing these stairs may be somewhat difficult.
The historic harbor is a former commercial port; today, the Klingele paper mill is still located at the harbor entrance (some background noise possible), as is the café/restaurant “Hafen 55” (some background noise possible; live music usually until 10 p.m. on weekends and during the summer months). From time to time, a harbor festival (harbor forecourt), historic boat gathering, dragon boat race, Christmas market, or other smaller tourist activities take place! When the film crew for the ZDF Friesland crime series is shooting in the harbor area (no more than twice a year), roads or the harbor forecourt may be closed during filming (for no more than one day, usually from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.).
