Sometimes that’s exactly what makes the difference: a little more space, a real bedroom for everyone, and a living area where you can comfortably gather with the whole family or with friends.

That’s exactly what our Sonntagshorn vacation rental is for.

At 62 m², it’s a bit more spacious than our other vacation rentals and offers one thing above all else: plenty of room to enjoy your vacation together without feeling cramped.

Two full-sized bedrooms ensure that everyone has their own private space, even while on vacation. One bedroom features a comfortable box-spring bed, while the other is our cozy Swiss stone pine room. Especially when you’re traveling with two couples, friends, or as a family, this is a difference you’ll quickly come to appreciate.

The heart of the apartment is the spacious kitchen-living room. There’s plenty of space here to have breakfast together, cook, play, plan the next day of your vacation, or simply sit together late into the evening.

And it’s exactly this balance that makes the Sonntagshorn special to us: enough space for togetherness and, at the same time, enough space for each individual.

A vacation rental—but you don’t have to miss out on anything

With us, you get the freedom of your own vacation rental while still being able to take advantage of everything the Friedlwirt has to offer.

You can cook for yourselves and plan your vacation completely independently. If you’d rather not spend time in the kitchen for a change, you can have breakfast with us, use the bread roll service, book half-board, or simply dine à la carte in our restaurant in the evening.

And even after an active day of vacation, you don’t have to go far: Our wellness area on the top floor features saunas, an infrared cabin, a relaxation area, and a rooftop terrace.

So a day of vacation with us can look very different. Breakfast together in the morning, spending the day outdoors, a session in the sauna in the afternoon, and a cozy evening spent together. Or simply don’t plan anything at all.

Our Natural Sanctuary

The Friedlwirt is quietly situated in the Unkenbach Valley near Unken, surrounded by nature yet easily accessible.

Hiking trails and mountain bike routes start right at your doorstep. The rushing stream flows past the house, surrounded by meadows, forests, and mountains. It’s a place where you can enjoy the outdoors without having to get in the car first.

In the summer, you can use the Salzburger Saalachtal Card to take advantage of numerous regional attractions—from the Loferer Almbahn to swimming pools and bus connections, all the way to gorges and caves.

In the winter, the Sonntagshorn is a cozy starting point for your day of skiing. The Almenwelt Lofer is easily accessible, and the free ski bus departs right in front of the house.

And in between, there’s plenty of time for the two of you

Maybe you’re up early in the morning and want to spend the whole day outdoors.

Or maybe you’d prefer to linger over breakfast, take a short walk, and spend the afternoon together on the balcony.

It’s exactly this freedom that we love about vacationing in a vacation rental.

With us, you don’t have to stick to a set daily schedule. You decide for yourselves what you’d like to do and which of the house’s amenities you’d like to use.

Your dogs are also welcome upon request. Because for us, a family vacation should include as many family members as possible.
