About this house rental
A large garden where you can pick various types of fruit for your own consumption, well-fenced off from the public road and partially fenced elsewhere. Numerous thousand-year-old olive trees with trunks exceeding 3 meters in diameter.
To get there, take State Road 7 (SS7) BR-TA and exit at Ceglie Messapica-Francavilla Nord. Then, 4 km along Provincial Road 26 (SP26) toward Ceglie Messapica, you’ll find a small church and a war memorial next to a traffic light—and you’re almost there. About 2 km away, there are two restaurants and a pay-per-visit swimming pool. The estate is fenced off only on the side facing the public road. Altitude: 200 m.
The Blue Flag-certified Adriatic beaches of Ostuni (the magical “White City”) or the crystal-clear Ionian waters (Maruggio-Manduria, S. Pietro Bevania) are about a 15- to 30-minute drive away.
Within a few kilometers, you can visit not only traditional farmhouses (where you can buy authentic local products), caves, the typical “specchie” on the border with Ceglie (prehistoric watchtowers), and, of course, the many civil and religious monuments in the neighboring towns—notably the Swabian Castle in Oria, where the tournament of the districts, established by Frederick II in 1225, takes place in mid-August.
