Room was on the small side but has a good view of the Matsuyama Castle. Close to many dining and shopping (Takayama!) options. Onsen is a plus.

Excellent location and clean room, breakfast was nice too. Also wanted to give a shoutout to the wonderful hotel staff who promptly answered my email query about a makeup pouch i left there and sent it to my next hotel.
Would stay there again if i have the opportunity to visit Matsuyama another time.
