The Seven Stars

Superb pub and rooms steeped in local history - Robert Plant started his career here playing blues guitar aged 15 in the upstairs blues club (sadly not there anymore but the history is palpable). The pub is a treasure trove of history, and so well preserved, from the original staircases and ceramic tiling on the walls, to the original bar. My room was just sheer excellence. Comfy bed, every amenity laid on, crispy linen and a boiling hot shower. Sadly the pub no longer serves food other than fantastic cob rolls and the best chips I have ever had, but there's plenty of great restaurants within an easy walk. Beer lovers will drool at the offerings on draught - the menu is eyewatering. A great find and definitely one to revisit.

Great place to stay if you are a real ale buff, as there were plenty to choose from. A place with a little history. Would definitely stay there again.

This is a beautifully restored historic pub. The staff are warm, welcoming and friendly. A visit to the bar on Friday night saw locals take us under their wing with information on where to find the best places to eat and how to find them. Breakfast is amazing. A wide variety of beers and ciders is available. Dogs welcomed. The room itself was big, piping hot shower, range of hot drinks , toiletries etc. I have stayed in 3 and 4 star hotel rooms that haven't been as well equipped. If you plan to go to Stourbridge to see George, The Stourbridge Station Cat, the station is 3 minutes walk away!
