Beautiful property with excellent food and coffee. The staff was very kind and helpful. The rooftop breakfast was a nice respite from the busy town. I felt very secure staying there with security on all night. They were helpful with recommendations for sightseeing and other restaurants. I was able to leave my bags locked up for a late checkout. Transfers to and from the airport were quick and seemless. Very nice place to start your stay on Zanzibar.

Difficult getting taxis when leaving the hotel, need to walk to the road with someone who can help guide you to a taxi

This hotel is EXCELLENT!!! The room, staff, food and hospitality is the best I had in Tanzania! Big hugs to everyone there as you made me feel as if I were home with family!

this hotel, which also has its own café with a great focus on coffee. The traditional interior was full of charm and something we really appreciated. Breakfast was perfect – it had everything you needed without being too much. One of the highlights was definitely the rooftop terrace, where we enjoyed breakfast with a beautiful view over Stone Town. The location was also spot on, making it easy to explore Stone Town. Overall, a really charming hotel with lots of character.
