A roomy, clean room with a sitting area, kept cool by AC. The breakfast is so good, fresh fruit and bread, the most delicious sausages, cheese and coffee, and a different sweet treat every morning. The pool is delightful and Madame Christine is charming, kind and helpful.

Very comfortable stay in this hilltop hotel with excellent sunset view.
Highlight of the stay was of course the most lovely, friendly and helpful host, Christine. It felt more like a stay at her home and being pampered by her.

Lovely selection of local meats, cheeses and pastries for breakfast, as well as breads, jams and cereals.

We have been in France for about 2 weeks, staying in a variety of places and I feel like we hit a home run with our stay at Hotel Bon Encontre. Christine is an extremely accommodating host who worked very hard to meet guests' needs. The hotel is in a wonderfully central location for exploring Dordogne. There is ample parking, which was a relief after fighting for parking spaces elsewhere!
Breakfast includes cheeses and meats, breads and a different sweet treat baked in house. It's a very reasonable cost. We happened to visit when the temperature soared into the 90s, so cooling off in the pool was a relaxing way to spend a couple of hours before dinner.
I would highly recommend this location!
