So.. I just got back from a 3 day stay at Whala and all I can say is that I had an amazing time! For my birthday this year I gave myself this trip and I went alone so I can do my own thing in peace. The view from my room was insane and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was good. My only complaint is that checking-in is a nightmare. Checking out was seamless. The beach was beautiful and well-maintained. This place is definitely worth visiting again! Please note bring your own toiletries because I had to purchase toothpaste from the pharmacy around the block.😅

My opinion about the hotel and the people who work there is they are helpful to find a way to fix what was wrong or help you with an alternative. The Location of the hotel is really bad. The area around It is dirty, it looks insecure and there is not many options to do tour excursions, since almost every activity has a pick up in punta cana. The food of this hotel was extremely bad, the buffet was terrible. It was flies standing on the food. The food didn’t look really fresh, was almost the same every day and also did not represent their culture or their flavors. So we didn’t enjoy that much. Also, I pay for a room with the ocean scene, and when we Got There, they gave us a room with a building view, old looking and totally different from the pictures of the page Expidia. Sometimes this kind of situation makes you feel that they are scamming you. Overall the beach and ocean were pretty.
