we liked this hotel and we are planning to go back
pros: onsen, location, and great view
cons: some areas required better care or be renewed and you need to pay to use the pool.
If you like to drive a bike I believe is a nice place to do it, that actually what I want to do on my next stay, just I believe the food is a bit overpriced compared with other hotels that I have stayed in Japan

Short drive to large shopping mall. Shuttle bus available to nearest JR station to get to Kyoto. Wonderful hospitality from the staff. Outstanding feature was the in room drinking water dispenser; very convenient.
