The motel was clean, it was nice parking right in front of the room. It was spacious, although the shower was a little tight. The towels were very thin. The check in was smooth, but if you needed something it was harder to find someone to help you.
It was a cute, retro motel, and the history of it was fun, especially since we were there to visit the redwoods. I gave it 4 stars because the beds weren't very comfortable. Other than that, it's great for a one night stay

The Curly Redwood is a wonderful historic motel and a great value for the area. It’s close to the Redwoods and the ocean. We enjoyed our stay there.

The draw and the appeal is the retro style and the history of it being built with the lumber from one redwood tree. Reasonably clean, but do not expect an updated ambiance. The mattress was not comfortable. The room felt dark. Adequate for a night on our CA Road trip.

Incredible property built in the 1950s and kept up-to-date. Really comfortable bed really nice shower with modern tile. The redwood throughout the whole motel is fantastic. Can’t say enough good things about this place.
