Rush Creek Lodge is a very convenient place to stay for families (and anyone else) while visiting Yosemite–especially since the location is right near the entrance of the park. The property is well-managed, the staff is pleasant, and the food + provisions are good. My absolute favorite Rush Creek highlights include the large 24/7 pool + game room. They also have hiking options and activities on the property itself. The views from the sunset deck are also spectacular. Note the large cabins are connected to each other, so if there are children next door you might hear some noise. You will also likely be reliant on the restaurant and store on the property, since there are no other options nearby.

Staff were friendly and helpful. What an amazing place filled with activities and all we needed plus more to enjoy our time. Loved the spacious room and bathrooms. Whirlpool was hot and perfect after a day of hiking, wish I’d had time to visit the spa.

We had a wonderful stay at the Rush Creek Lodge. The experience and staff were pitch-perfect. The setting is pretty and relaxing, from the trees and views to the smal (man-made) creek running through the property. The layout inspires exploration, but isn't tiring to walk through. It's nice but not overly fancy or uncomfortably ostentatious. The central lobby / gift shop / game & fireplace room make a great common area to gather with family. The pool area is very inviting and was clean during our stay. The water temp was perfect and we really enjoyed just spreading out and relaxing. The food at the restaurants deserves special mention. We travel a lot, for vacations and for work. This was hands down some of the best hotel food we've ever eaten, and pricing was not sky high or exorbitant. We tried almost everything on both the breakfast and dinner menus, and it was just excellent. Tasty, healthy, sufficient quantities, and creative. There were some dishes where they could have stopped with just a sandwich or salad, but they added extra sauces or ingredients that just made everything taste better. We looked forward to eating at every meal - not something I can say for most hotels I visit. Finally, the staff were to a person friendly and helpful but without being obnoxious or overly cloying. They just genuinely seemed like they wanted to help. For example, we were lost once and a manager cheerfully asked us to hop aboard her golf cart and she delivered us to our destination.
